Solo 1. Evaluation.

1. Why did you choose the song?

- I choose this song because the words or the lyrics of the song are so nice and also the song suits my voice.

2. Are you happy with your final performance?

- Yes, I am really happy because I work so hard to get a better grade, and also my music lesson teacher helps me for singing and choosing this song.

3. What did you find challenging about this piece?

- What I found challenging is performing or sing in front of people and it also shows how we use the time wisely and seeing other people performing.

4. Performance goal 2: What are you going to work on improving?

- I still need to work on my emotions and how I feel about the song and figure out what a perfect song to sing for my solo 2.

Presentation Reflection

1. How did you feel about your presentation?
- I was worried and nervous because my presentation might be less than one minute long but when I stood in front of the class I felt confident because I could see my audience, which is my class. They support ed me and they helped me by listening and being a good audience for me. During my presentation, I started making mistakes but I didn't even stop because I felt anxious. Doing presentations in Esol is not the first time I have spoken in front of people. I also do presentations in another class, during each of those presentations I always feel nervous, because standing in front of everyone is a hard thing for me, but it doesn't stop me from doing it.

2. What did you do well?
-  The things that I did well in my presentation were speaking loud with the tone of my voice, hand gestures, and eye contact. If I do presentations, it doesn't matter what topic I am presenting but the most important thing in presenting a topic is speaking loud and also making eye contact, so people can understand what you talking about.

3. What would you improve next time?
- My presentation was not good. There are so many things I need to improve first, I need to speak slowly so I can achieve 2 minutes' time of my presentations. Next time I also need cue cards, so it will help me remember the things or the main words of my topic.

4. What was fun and what was challenging about the presentation?
- What was fun and challenging for me is speaking in front of people and also I learned an important lesson from other presenters that if you made a mistake, just keep on going because we can learn from our mistakes. Doing a presentation is very fun for me because that is the time when I am going to speak or share something important to other people.

5. What advice would you give to the current Year 10 students about having an enjoyable and successful year at school for Year 11 NCEA?
- My advice for year 10 is don't give up because we all feel confused and scared and if we stand in front of people and talk, we learn from it because if we grow up that our life. If you make a mistake don't be ashamed because we all make mistakes and also we learn from our mistakes.
